TwinsTown - Callum Paterson's Broken Song

Callum Jake Paterson Whanga, a hugely talented singer/songwriter, and frontman of the 1/4 Chubz.

Callum could write comedic songs that had people laughing and laughing, such as Toon on a Tuesday, or Baboon. The lyrics, and his own personal style, were unlike any other. His natural ability to make people laugh, and really bring something to the good times, was what made him stand out.

But, there was a darker or deeper side to him, that only really came out expressed through his own music. Broken Song was a real example of this, whilst still showing his charm and wit.

Broken Song was a track he wrote while living in New Zealand with his Dad, about a relationship he had over there - only he can really know the meaning of the lyrics, or what he was thinking at the time. Who are we to speculate.

Now, coming up for the two year anniversary of Callum's death, TwinsTown have recorded his song at Whanga Records, the music label set up in his honour, and included Callum's original accoustic performance, which can be heard introducing and ending the tribute. This will be released in time for the 13th of June; the last day we heard him laugh and sing.
