about
''Welcome To My World”, the hotly anticipated follow up single to “Dive In”, from your new favourite band, TwinsTown. This shows a darker side to the boys’ unique and honest song writing. It delves into the mind and life of the twins, with a bittersweet juxtaposition of darker undertones throughout the verses, before taking you on to a melodic, soaring sing along chorus that has you hooked after the opening line.
The Mackay twins have recruited their virtuoso guitarist cousin Rodaidh Mackay,“The Weapon”, previously a founder to Aberdeen based band FaR to complete the already Sterling line up. This indeed is turning out to be a TwinsTown’s secret weapon, with “Dive In” receiving great press and airtime, both locally and worldwide, and being championed, most notably, by Mickey Bradley of the Undertones on his weekly radio show, aired on BBC Ulster every Friday.
TwinsTown are fronted by infamous identical twins Donald and Stuart Mackay, Roadiah Mackay is on lead guitar, Harry Dixon is on bass duties, Mark Guyan on the keys and Wayne Robertson on the drums.
“Welcome To My World” is released through the already legendary and fast booming Whanga Records on 3rd of September.
lyrics
Look at all the faces , look at all the faces,
Look at all the places, all the places.
Welcome to my world,
It would be nice to get to know you,
It would be nice to get to know me!!!
For every smile from them that’s so true,
There’s a side to them you don’t see,
Knowing me it’ll be something I’ve said,
I’d take it back but it was all in my head,
I guess I should face the vital fact,
That boy ain’t ever coming back!!!
I think I'll be quite alright if I pass them and they don’t smile,
I think il be quite alright if I pass them and they don’t smile,
If they don’t look me in the eyes!
Look at all the faces, look at all the faces,
Look at all the places.
Welcome to my world,
I think I’m okay man i must be feeling brave,
I just got the shakes like someone stood on my grave,
I must of deserved it,
Nobody’s perfect!
There’s a table in hell,
And I just reserved it!
I spy, I spy with my little eyes,
Something beginning with lies,
I spy with my little eyes,
Something beginning with lies.
I think I'll be quite alright if I pass them and they don’t smile,
I think il be quite alright if I pass them and they don’t smile,
If they don’t look me in the eyes!
YEAH LOOK ME IN THE EYES!
WELCOME TO MY WORLD !!!
